To stop your ribbon breaking while printing with a DTC1250e, you should:
- Ensure you are running the latest driver and firmware available via the Fargo Workbench Utility.
- Make sure your printer is clean by carrying out a thorough clean to remove any dirt or dust particles that are causing the ribbon to break.
- Ensure the ribbon sensors are calibrated.
If all this has been carried out and your ribbon continues to break, try reducing the printhead power. You can do this by following the steps outlined further down this page.
